Day 1 – Arrive, Wander & Fall in Love with the Old Town

Instead of returning immediately to the busy streets, spend your afternoon walking towards the peaceful Franconian vineyards overlooking the Tauber Valley. This is one of Rothenburg's true hidden gems. Bring a few pastries, fresh fruit, cheese, or snacks from a local bakery and enjoy a simple picnic among the vineyards while overlooking the medieval skyline.
